Krakow City Centre and the Old Town are easily accessible by public and private transport. The Main Railway Station and The Main Bus Station are located right in the centre of the city, within a walking distance to the Old Town and only a few tram stops away from both conference venues. Krakow has a good train and air connection with Warsaw in case you fly via Poland’s capital city.
Krakow Airport is well connected with the city centre. You can take a train, bus, taxi, Uber and other similar means.
To take a train to the city, follow the Train signs as you leave the arrival terminal (you should take the escalator to the first floor and then follow the Train signs). Take the train to Kraków Główny [Krakow Main]; the ride takes ca. 20 minutes and a 12-zł ticket (ca. 4 Euro) can be purchased in a machine at the train stop. There is no luggage fee.
The bus stop is located outside the terminal building. Take the buses number 252 or 208 (or the night bus 902) which stop in various spots in the city centre; the final destination is the Main Bus Station in the centre. A ticket for the 45-minute ride is 4,60 zł (ca. 1 Euro). There is no luggage fee.
A taxi depot is located right in front of the Arrival terminal. You cannot miss it. A trip to the centre is ca. 70-90 zł (ca. 20 Euro).
If you prefer to travel by an Uber or Bolt, arrange to meet your driver in the Kiss & Fly zone, located in front of the Arrival terminal. Depending on the time of day and traffic and route, the journey is ca. 30 minutes and costs ca. 50-60 zł (ca. 14 Euro).
If you arrive by car, remember that parking fees are mandatory in the whole city centre and around both conference venues. Generally, it is very hard to find a parking spot so we recommend using public transport. The nearest large parking lot where you can leave your car for a few days is located right next to the National Museum in Mickiewicza Street (50°03’34.8″N, 19°55’28.0″E).
